Fredric Kempes.

Vad tycker ni?

Plagiarism or not?

Donna Karan :)

Rachel Zoe: As a pioneer for wearable women's fashion, your designs are all made with the modern woman in mind—what is your idea of the perfect contemporary look, day vs. night?

Donna Karan: The perfect look goes day into evening with sophistication and ease. It works for you, your body, your style and your lifestyle. For most women, I love anything simple and black that sets a foundation, which you can add and subtract and change its attitude/function as the day goes on. A simple black jersey dress. A black bodysuit with pants or a skirt . You can layer on a cardigan, jacket or coat. You can opt for flats or heels. And you can use jewlery and scarves to personalize.

RZ: Your fashion empire includes not one, but two mah-jor lines, both the Donna Karan Collection and sister label, DKNY—what influences your design process for one as opposed to the other?

DK:
Collection and DKNY are the two sides of woman and her city. So the approach is very different. Collection is a more personal vision. It’s about luxury, longevity and flexibility. I want each modern piece to become a part of you and your wardrobe, so a lot of effort goes into the fit, fabric and detail. DKNY is street fashion. It’s designed to be of the moment in terms of trends and attitude. Quality is paramount, but the look is edgier, younger and more casual. It also has a broader appeal, dressing multi-generations and lifestyles, so there is something for everyone.

RZ: I am so in awe of your S/S 2011 Spring Collection—which is full of dreamy flowy neutrals..do you have one favorite look from the collection?
DK: I’d have to say it’s the slip-dress worn with one of the body-conscious crushed jackets. I love its femininity and artistic spirit. I also love how relaxed it feels on the body. A longer length has a way of putting your whole body at ease.

RZ: How do you prepare for New York Fashion Week? What is your favorite part?
DK: It’s always stressful, even at this stage of my career. You want to put out the best collection you can, and yet are relying on so many sources from all over the world, so balance and timing is a real issue. I’m also very detail driven, so I’m always adding and subtracting until the absolut last minute. My favorite moment is when I come out at the end of the show and see my daughter’s face in the front row.

RZ: Tell me something that you are coveting for spring!
DK: Honestly? Time off. I love to travel, re-energize and seek new inspiration.

RZ: As someone who has left such a substantial, ongoing impression on the tough industry, what piece of advice would you give aspiring designers?
DK: Work in a store. Get to know your customer. See what works, what doesn’t and why. I tell that to every student I speak to. It’s truly the most valuable training you can have in fashion.Fashion is a creative art form, but it lives in the real world and retail is the best education imaginable.

Couples Retreat

Trubbel i Paradiset med Vince Vaughn och Malin Åkerman. Ganska kul film, lite annorlunda än alla andra, så värd att se :)
A comedy centered around four couples who settle into a tropical-island resort for a vacation. While one of the couples is there to work on the marriage, the others fail to realize that participation in the resort's therapy sessions is not optional.

Zakopane 2011 - last part

So, the final part of the Zakopane World Cup-trip. The others you have here: Part 1 - Part 2

Sunday:
It started with some "explaining SMS" again... The weather wasn't great for the competition, I watched the first round with Maciek, Yana and Ania, and my heart literally stopped when Adam fell... It was terrible, I mean he is the soul of Polish Ski Jumping. The hill by the landing zone wasn't great and it was breath-taking to watch the following jumps, because they had a bit of a hard time to land too...

None of us thought that there will be a final round, but it took place and was a really nice one :) Kamil Stoch could have his first win in the World Cup, which really made me happy :) Hilde was 2nd and Uhrmann 3rd.

The mood wasn't great because of a lot of things,
Yana and Simi drove to Krakow straight after the competition, becuase they had a flight early in the morning and I & Ania went to bed for some re-gaining of strenght.

We didn't really feel like going out, but we did. Kacper waited for us which was a nice surprice, becuase we didn't think that he was coming :)

Anssi went totally mad at me, and refused to talk more to me because I didn't want to drink the beer that he bought me...haha... I found it so childish, I mean, if I don't wanna drink it I won't. Spent most of the evening with Johan R-E and Tom :) Can you please tell me why the guys who are like the worst athletes always act as if they were the stars of the team?! (dziurkacz is the only thing I say..).

First time after going out we took the cab to BP and bought something to eat and then walked home.

Monday:
The next day we packed, left our appartemnt and went to Pizza Hut for some lunch. Kacper came and joined us, we sat there for like 2 hours, like not touching the food I ordered, just drank Pepsi Light and freshly sqeezed grape fruit juice. I and Ania left Zakopane about 2 and drove to my hotel at Katowice Airport, I went to bed really early, because I had my flight at 11 the next day.

Tuesday:
Hotel-breakfast is the best. I packed my stuff together and took the shuttle to the airport.

I couldn't check-in online (because Wizzair had some problems), so the idiots forced me to pay 15€ for the airport check-in, and not taking any creditcards, which forced me to take out more polish zlotys and paying the ATM-fee gRRR. This wasn´t my day...

It was a nice flight though, with a lot of sun above the clouds :)

This was it... All the photos you have here:

Eric Saade - Popular

I think that the world remember Eric Saade as the guy that read the swedish results at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. He was adorable.

Sweden loves him and tonight he got the most votes in the quarter final to choose the Swedish song for the Eurovision 2011. I did a recording of a bit of the song from the tv, so enjoy Popular.

I saw him live this summer, here is a small recording from the concert:

Flight to Warszawa booked :)

On wednesday I´ll land in Warsaw, a bit earlier than planned, because I chose to fly with a regular airline, instead of the low-price. Not that I´m a fan of SAS, because I rather not fly with them, but I didn´t have any choice here...

A romantic comedy centered on a woman who conceives twins through artificial insemination, only to meet the man of her dreams on the very same day.
Anyone that have seen it? Did you like it? I´ll give it 3 of 5.

Diane von Furstenberg

Diane Von Furstenberg

Rachel Zoe: For as long as the fashion world can remember, you have been the ultimate figure of empowerment for women everywhere with your eponymous line, Diane Von Furstenberg. Growing up, who were the people who inspired you?
Diane von Furstenberg:
My mother was and has been the most influential inspiration in my life, mostly because she taught me that
'fear is not an option'.

RZ: What started with your first iconic wrap dress in the '70s is now a global luxury line...in your own words, how has the DVF woman changed from then to now? Where do you see her going next?
DVF: The DVF woman has always been very individual. She's always in the driver's seat...active, seductive, and above all confident. When I first started my career it was the time of women's liberation...all was ahead of us!! But women are women and somehow not much has changed.

RZ: How do you prepare for the insanity that is New York Fashion Week? What is your favorite part?

DVF:
I usually prepare by doing a lot of yoga. Fashion shows are so useful because they force you to edit and to present a collection in a concise way. It's a presentation to the press and to the stores that sell your clothes...it is so exciting!!!

RZ: Tell me something that you are coveting for spring!
DVF
: The 'Harper' is our new bag shape for Spring...I love it!!! It's extremely versatile and comes in a variety of colors! It just became available on DVF.com.

RZ: What advice would you give to any of them who are planning for a profession in the fashion industry?

DVF:
Be confident!! The industry is growing and new, young talent is emerging, but fashion will always remain a mysterious thing...it reflects the contemporary period you live in, the mood of the time, the way people want to project themselves, it's ever-evolving...

Do you fantasize about your wedding?

Is it just in movies or is it really that way that all girls fantasize about their weddings? Creating wedding-books and having their dream-weddings and dresses in their head...

Because if it is that way, then I'm far from normal. I have never dreamt, not in my sleep or during the day, about my future wedding. I haven't fantasizes about the location, church, bridemaids or even my dress, not about my honeymoon or my future husband.

The only thing I have in my mind came there after watching the Sex and the City movie, and seeing the Vivienne Westwood (see from 1:20) wedding-dress that Carrie had, and thinking that my dress will have to be as amazing as that one. Do you guys have fantasies about your weddings?

Why I'm writing about this is because I've seen the movie Bride Wars with Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson and it made me think about the fantasies.

I like the movie it was fun, but for a movie thats only a bit over 1h20min it felt like it was at least 2h long. Not that it was boring or anything, but it just felt long.
Liv and Emma are best friends who since childhood have planned every detail of their respective weddings. At the top of their bridal "must have" list: a ceremony at New York's ultimate bridal destination, the Plaza Hotel. Now, at age 26, they're both about to get married; they're about to realize their dreams; and they're about to live happily ever after. Or maybe not. When a clerical error causes a clash in wedding dates--they're now to be married on the same date!--Liv, Emma and their lifelong friendship are put to the ultimate test. Liv, a successful lawyer who is used to getting what she wants, including the perfect job and the perfect man, won't settle for anything less than the perfect wedding she has dreamed of for years. Emma, a schoolteacher who has always been good at taking care of others, but not so much in looking after herself, discovers her inner Bridezilla and comes out swinging when her own dream wedding is imperiled. Now, the two best friends who'd do anything for each other find themselves in a no-holds-barred, take-no-prisoners struggle that threatens to erupt into all-out war.
