Gud vad skoj att gästblogga här hos Vicky ! En del av er kanske läste min blogg innan så ni känner mig redan, men många av er kanske inte har en blekaste aning om vem jag är! Jag heter Elina och bor i Washington DC , och jag har känt Vickan i flera år nu. Detta är andra året i rad hon kommer och hälsar på mig här i the US of A , plus att vi brukar ses varje gång jag är i Sverige. Vi har alltid så himla kul! Vi hittar på alla möjliga roliga saker och det blir en hel del fest såklart - och denna gången är inget undantag.  I lördags var vi ute och käkade med Karin och Carina på en rysk restaurang i Washington, Mari Vanna. Supergod mat och jättegod vodka. Vi provade en massa olika smaksatta sorter (bland annat gurka/dill) och blev väl lite lulliga ganska omgående. Då var det dags för en gästblogg igen :) Denna gången är det Marta som jag flög och mötte upp i Brasília , medan jag var i Rio de Janeiro .  Brazil occupies a peculiar place in the European imagination – samba, sandy beaches, beautiful, hot-blooded people – however none of this will you find in Brasília . And that did not surprise us. What did surprise us was that capital city of Brazi l is not a city. It lacks everything that a normal city has – crowded pavements, traffic jams, intermingled styles of buildings, street life... In Brasília everything is zoned along with the airplane plan. There is offices’ zone, hotel zone, residential zone and commercial zone.  We have been to Rio de Janeiro , so Brasília was quite disappointing for us, however we cannot say that Brasília is something that we have seen before. Those open spaces with modern, bizarre-looking buildings with a trace of communism definitely amazed us. It will stay in our memory for long. H...
